Tell us a little about your background and your role as Project Manager for the team.
I have worked in executive search for the past eight years in an administrative capacity and have spent nearly six years at Sheffield Haworth. My role as Project Manager is a new and exciting position which has been created to help the SH Leadership Team with client projects, working closely with the team and the wider firm. I studied psychology at university, which is proving to be very complementary to my current role.
You have previous experience as an Executive Assistant, which transferable skills have you been able to bring to your role as Project Manager?
I believe the transferable skills that I bring to my role are my organisational skills, forward thinking and planning. I have worked for many teams throughout my career at Sheffield Haworth and have got to know the organisation and people really well. I am able to multi-task, which I think will be useful in balancing the needs of many clients.
What do you like most about being part of the SH Leadership Team?
I am really interested in the solutions we offer and how we are better able to help our clients with challenges they are facing. As a new team within Sheffield Haworth, I feel we can bring a fresh outlook to working with current clients as well as working with new clients. The SH Leadership team will continue to grow and I am excited to see how the team dynamics will develop over the next year or so.
What has been a professional highlight for you?
I think my recent promotion to Project Manager within the SH Leadership team is one that I am proud of. It’s great to still be part of the wider organisation but I am excited to try a new challenge where I can continue to learn and develop new skills. I am also really proud of the charity initiatives I have been involved with at Sheffield Haworth over the years, including organising the London to Paris Bike Ride and taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge, where we raised £30,000 for Cancer Research.
What do you think are your best qualities?
I’m a people person and try my best to engage with everyone on all levels. I’m efficient and diligent with my work which I think is important when working in a team. My organisational skills and preparedness for all possible outcomes are really important when working on client projects. I also like to inject some fun and keep people’s spirits up which I think is key (especially in a pandemic!).
